Her education was only the beginning.
Heather later apprenticed at Liebling Leather in Delafield, Wisconsin. Under the guidance of an experienced and trusted mentor, she learned the detailed craft of leatherwork, coat construction, and precision alterations.
Over the following decades, Heather continued building hands on experience throughout Wisconsin's sewing and garment industry. Her work included tailored suits, custom coats, specialty sewn products, design, restyling, and alterations for both women and men.
Although Heather's Boutique is first and foremost a dress boutique, this technical background continues to shape the experience customers receive today. Heather understands what makes a garment well constructed, how different fabrics behave, where a dress should sit on the body, and how the right silhouette can improve the overall look and feel of a dress.
